"promenade des Anglais" noted for its sparkling beaches
and its beautiful homes and shops. Later we review our
history of this area with a visit to Cimiez and the ruins of
the Roman arena and baths. In great contrast is the new
"Palais des Congrès" with its many fountains and modern
architecture. We take a side trip to the Gorges of Daluis
and Cians. We watch the kayaks descend the River Var
and climb to the resort town of Valberg. We descend
through the Gorges of Cians passing through the narrow
"clues." We end our visit to the region with a few hours in
the medieval town of Entrevaux.
