We study Mayan life at the famous ruins of Tikal with its
great pyramids. Just to the north we journey to Uaxactún in
the jungle of northern Guatemala. We proceed to Quriguá
in the eastern part of the country where we see some of
the best stelae produced by the Mayas. We also visit
Copán in nearby Honduras with its magnificent ball court.
We then see how the modern Mayas live by visiting
Chichicastenango where we tour the famous Sunday
market and see the Palm Sunday processions. Then we're
off to Antigua for Holy Week and later enjoy some typical
marimba music of the country.
