This DVD/VHS covers some of the importance aspects of
the geography and history of Galicia. We visit the Celtic
castro of Santa Tecla and the Roman walled city of Lugo.
We study the "Camino de Santiago" and the "Pórtico de la
Gloria." We see the famous botafumeiro in action and then
watch one of the regional dances performed during the
fiesta of Santiago in July. We then learn about the famous
"crucero of Hío" and the legends of San Andrés de Teixido.
We hear three short poems of Rosalía de Castro recited in
Gallego. We then visit the Rías Altas y Bajas and the
major cities of Galicia.
