This DVD/VHS takes us to the old province of Extremadura
in western Spain. We trace a little of its interesting history
from the age of the dolmens, the Romans, and the Moors
up to more modern times. We spend a day in Mérida
visiting the Roman circus, amphitheater and theater. Then
we follow the ancient “Silver Road” to historic city of
Cáceres. Our tour of Extremadura takes us to the famous
monasteries of Guadalupe and Yuste. We then visit
several fantasy towns such as Zafra, Frías, and Galisteo.
We end our visit with a stop at Torremocha for a country
bullfight and finally drive through the National Park of
Monfragüe.
