This DVD/VHS takes us to the historic city of Cuzco, high
in the mountains of southeastern Peru. In Inca times it was
the magnificent capital of Tahuantinsuyo as the Inca
empire was called. We roam along the winding streets of
the city visiting the major points of interest such as the
Plaza de Armas, the Coricancha (Temple of the Sun) and
the House of the Virgins of the Sun. At Cuzco’s Center of
Native Art we witness several beautiful dances dating from
the time of the Incas. We then visit a number of historic
sites in the vicinity of Cuzco including the famous fortress
of Sacsayhuaman, the towns of Ollantaytambo, Chinchero
and Pisac where we follow an Inca trail for some three
miles. Others places visited are Quenqo, Puca Pucara,
Tambomachay, Tipon and the Salt Flats of Maras. We
stop at churches of Huaro and Andahuaylillas to admire
some of the best examples of Andean art in southern Peru.
Then we return to Cuzco to witness the festivals of Corpus
Christi and Inti Raymi, the famous Festival of the Sun.

Picchu/Ciudad de los Dioses” to appreciate the beauty of
this “New Wonder of the World.”
