battle where Don Pelayo conquered the Moors and initiated
the Reconquest of Spain. We study some of the miniatures
of the "Beato de Liébana" and then see several of the
pre-Romanesque churches of Asturias. We then go to the
capital, Oviedo, with its many places of interest. We will
also see many of the picturesque ports of Asturias as well
as the rural areas around the "Picos de Europa."
